Paesano's highlights the microwbrewed sensations of Michigan's own New Holland brewery Monday, Jun. 9th, '08, 6:30pm
Yes, we're firmly committed to the pleasures of fine Italian wine, but let's face it, a great drink is a great drink, and we're huge fans of the brews from New Holland! You can get some background and learn more about New Holland Brewing on their website, www.newhollandbrew.com Now if you're a fan of beer, bratwurst, and burgers, look elsewhere! We're busy right now crafting a truly gourmet six-course menu that shows off all the glory of these nuanced and balanced beers. Here's the menu: first course: assorted appetizers on the patio (e.g. peppercorn and anchovy pastry twists, melon wrapped prosciutto) with single batch Golden Cap Saison Ale second course: Bibb lettuce salad with roasted hazelnuts, candied orange, and shaved, aged English Cheddar served with Zoomer wheat beer. third course: Barley & Molasses Braised Mushroom Risotto with Sundog Amber Ale fourth course: Pan Seared Halibut on wilted arugula and caramelized shallots with a spicy almond-Gorgonzola sauce. Paired with Madhatter IPA fifth course: Dragon's Milk Braised Lamb Shoulder Roast with smoky bacon and mushrooms, served with, of course, Dragon's Milk High Gravity Stout sixth course: Spicy Ginger Sorbet with Black Tulip High Gravity Series Belgian Trippel Cost is just $49/person (plus tax & gratuity).
