Carnevale! Our most anticipated wine event of the year!
It's Mardi Gras (a.k.a Carnevale, in Italian) time again, and we've once again planned our annual, gala event to celebrate! Grab your costume, and get ready for an unforgettable night!
We close the restaurant, decorate in Mardi Gras colors, break out the band, call in the jesters, put on our festive costumes, and put together a magnificent five course / five wine dinner extravaganza.
The first course is an unbelievable appetizer buffet, followed by three plated courses, and concludes with another unbelievable spread of desserts. Here are the details:
Course 1: Appetizer Buffet Wine: nv Nino Franco Prosecco “Rustico”
Course 2: Gorgonzola & Spiced Almond Salad w/ Beet Vinaigrette and served in Phyllo Cup Wine: ’04 Michele Satta “Costa di Giulia”
Course 3: Veal Ossobuco Fagottino using saffron infused pasta sheets, pan juice for sauce, and finished with gremolata Wine: ’03 Cantine del Notaio Aglianico Rosato “Il Rogito”
Course 4: Roasted, Rolled-Out Pork Leg w/ a light cream Grated Horseradish & Shallot sauce and White Polenta –Roasted Pepper Terrine Wine: ’01 Vitanza “Quadrimendo” (brunello/merlot blend)
Course 5: Dessert Buffet Wine: ’03 Villa Giada Bracchetto d’Acqui
Each course is matched to a wine, and this year we are featuring the exceptional wines of the VinDivino portofolio, one of the most comprehensive, eclectic, and quality oriented Italian wine selections in the country.
With over one hundred costumed partygoers, the live music, the entertainment, and the fine food and wine, a great time is guaranteed to be had by all!
